Selsdon Park Pre-School

We are a unique setting in the heart of Selsdon, where learning is fun and every day is an adventure! In our warm and family-centred setting, children learn through play, discovery, and hands-on experiences that inspire imagination and confidence. We work closely with families to help every child flourish, make friends, and develop a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. At Selsdon Park Pre-School we believe that children learn best through play, therefore we use a play-based approach to their learning! Much of their early learning and development takes place through play and hands-on experience, so we follow the children’s lead and interests, and build upon their learning as it happens. Our curriculum is inclusive of all children and aims to support them in being happy, confident, and independent learners. Young children can learn and develop holistically, meaning that many areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage can develop all at the same time usually through one activity, we plan activities based around themes/topics aimed to spark their curiosity- learning naturally and creatively. This results in children who have developed stronger communication and social skills and greater confidence - ready for the next stage of their journey.
